Trust & Compliance

Heavy industry buys on risk.
This is the material that manages it.

In heavy industry, trust and compliance is a buying criterion. That's why it's in the top-level navigation.

Record integrity

Records are immutable once submitted. They cannot be edited or deleted. The system maintains a cryptographic audit log of every write operation — who submitted what, and when. Any attempt to alter a record creates a new versioned entry; the original is preserved.

"The record that goes in stays in. We can prove it hasn't changed, and we can prove who touched it."

Data ownership

Data ownership remains with the mine operator at all times. Contracts include a mandatory data export provision on termination — all records delivered in standard formats (JSON, CSV, PDF) within 30 days of contract end. Scheduled automatic exports to your own systems are built into onboarding as standard practice.

"When the contract ends, your records leave with you. They were always yours."

Data residency & legal posture

Data residency options are supported, and storage can be restricted to the jurisdictions required by your regulatory framework. Data classification, retention periods, and access controls are agreed with your legal and compliance team before deployment. You define the data policy; Stratos implements it.

Regulator access

Stratos supports a configurable regulator access tier — a read-only credential providing access to all safety-relevant records without operator mediation. The data model does not support selective hiding of records. A record that exists in Stratos is accessible to any account with the appropriate permission tier. There is no operator-level delete function for submitted safety records.

"The data structure doesn't allow selective disclosure. What exists, exists for everyone with the right permission."

Safety close-out defensibility

Every close-out is timestamped, attributed to a named user, and optionally attached to photo evidence of the corrective action. The audit trail records every state change — raised, assigned, acknowledged, actioned, reviewed, closed — including automatic escalations when a close-out misses its window. Regulatory-format close-out reports generated on demand, configurable to your jurisdiction.

"Every close-out is signed, timestamped, and attached to evidence. That's a chain of custody."

Workforce & labour relations

Cameras track equipment and heading activity. The system classifies whether a machine is drilling, waiting, or idle — and why. It watches the process. Cameras are never the first thing deployed. Camera placement is co-designed with site management, with sign-off on location, angle, and purpose.

"The camera watches the machine. The record it creates is as likely to be in your favour as against you."

A complete, timestamped record is the strongest position you can be in.
